What is Elemental Yoga
Elemental Yoga is a natural therapy based in the practice of harmonizing the health related energies which effect the way we experience our human nature. Elemental Yoga balances the 5 Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit.
Along with Hatha Yoga, many ancient natural medicines also work with harmonizing the Five Elements, they are often named differently yet always connect us to the same experience. This science allows us to work directly through health issues within our whole being – treating all physical problems and restrictions, as well as our mental and emotional challenges and habits. The practices can be approached from either a scientific or spiritual perspective and don’t require any previous learning in Yoga or movement. The simplicity of Elemental Yoga is its great strength.
Elemental Yoga is an artful philosophy, which maintains the ability to encompass all the styles of modern ‘postural’ yoga that are currently being taught around the world, without becoming just another movement based style. Taught through short intelligent sequences which our bodies interpret as energetic medicine, it is truly the Yoga for the individual.
Once we understand the simplicity that Yoga works through, we can quickly begin to restore balance to our inner life, and begin the fundamental learning into developing health and harmony with the world we live in. The 2 main approaches are Private Yoga Therapy which are one to one tailored sessions working towards improving your current specific condition, and Seasonal Yoga, taken one to one or in small groups, which balances our whole being in relation to the cycles of nature and is a potent preventative health care practice.
